Applied Science Program, From Global Universities

HNC Applied Science gives students a foundation in scientific knowledge and practical lab skills. Students develop abilities in experimentation, data analysis, and problem-solving, preparing them to apply science confidently in real-world settings.

HND Applied Science enables students to deepen their knowledge in scientific fields such as biology, chemistry, and environmental science through advanced practical learning. Students build strong skills in laboratory techniques, data interpretation, research, problem-solving, and scientific communication. The programme focuses on real-world application, preparing students for final-year university study or technical and laboratory-based careers.

Upon successful completion of the HND, students transfer to a partner institution to complete their final year abroad and earn a full international bachelor’s degree. Students can progress to degrees in Applied Science, Genetics, Human Biology, Biological Sciences, Ecology & Environmental Biology, and Global Sustainability.

Year 4 is an optional placement year, allowing students to take a break from studies to gain real industry experience. Typically, students may earn up to £20,000 per year during this placement, or they may choose to continue directly into their final year of study.

In Year 5, students return after placement year to the university to complete their final year of study and graduate with a full international bachelor’s degree.

Upon graduation, students receive a full international degree and are eligible for an 18–24 month post-study work visa, allowing them to stay and seek employment. This visa permits full-time work and does not require employer sponsorship.
